Disney - Where is it?

There are hundreds of books on Disney so I will not repeat all the wonderful information they give.  Here are just a few tips we have found from our various visits.

Quickest way to Disney from Windsor Palms.  Follow Formosa Boulevard back to the 192.  Turn right then get into the left lane as you will turn left at the next lights into Sherberth Road.  Follow this road up to Osceola Parkway and filter right.  From here all parks are sign posted clearly (with one exception more to follow!)  You will immediately find signs to Animal Kingdom which is the closest park and probably only 10 mins drive from the house.  The furthest away is Epcot which is about 25 mins.

The exception to the wonderful sign posting is Typhoon Lagoon which is not signposted until quite close to the water park.  Follow signs to Down Town Disney and you will then pick up signs to it.  Following signs to 'All other parks' will just bring you back to Animal Kingdom.  Not sure how they missed that one!

When you return from any of the parks just follow signs to Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge and you will be brought back to Osceola Park Way, and then left into Sherberth Road

The water parks have towel rental so please, if you have not brought beach towels, do take advantage and do not take the house towels.  It is very reasonable, this year only $1 per towel.  You can also hire lockers to put your valuables in.  Do not take the first number  you are given but check where the lockers are located and ask for a key in a convenient one.  otherwise you may end up with quite a walk back just to get your purse at lunch time!
